The Narre Warren & District Family History Group was formed in 1989
and since then has been helping people in Narre Warren and surrounding
areas research their family history. We operate a Research Room within
the Narre Warren Library at Fountain Gate and are open to members and
visitors for 3 sessions per week.
We are an independent self funded
group with many Victorian, Australian and international resources plus a
growing collection of local history books and resources for the City of
Casey (formerly the Shires of Berwick and Cranbourne) and the Shire of
Cardinia. Many of these have been indexed by volunteers. We have two
volunteers on hand at each session to assist researchers and being at
the Fountain Gate Shopping Centre we are close to public transport, (bus
and rail) shops and other amenities.
We hold regular meetings and welcome visitors to our meetings and our Research Room.
